How
easy are these guitar chord charts to use?

The
format for these chord charts is simple and consistent. Each letter
symbol for a chord gets two counts or beats. The only exceptions would
be waltzes and slip jigs. There are no slip jigs in this collection,
so the only exceptions are waltzes. Waltzes
get three counts per symbol.
When
the chord changes on the second beat, you see a colon (:) dividing the
two beats between two chord symbols.

A
chord is represented by a letter. The capital G represents
a G major chord. If the chord is minor, the letter is still capitalized
and has an m in lower case next to it. The symbol for E
minor is Em.
The
simplification has been carried forward to avoid added notes, even the
seventh, the most common added note. Fortunately, most guitar players
are well acquainted with seventh chords and know where to use them.
This
is the first edition of this project. I welcome comment. If the added
complexity of bass note indicators seems desirable, or added notes,
the seventh, ninths and sixths would be appreciated, let me know.
